The Ram · Mesha Rashi
Aries
Aries opens the zodiac, and astrologers have long linked it with beginnings — the first spark of spring in the northern hemisphere and the urge to act before overthinking.
Traditional traits
Traditional readings describe Aries as enthusiastic, competitive and frank. The sign is associated with leadership by example, a liking for challenges, and the ability to restart quickly after setbacks.

Room to grow
The same fire that drives Aries forward can show up as impatience or a short fuse. Classic interpretations encourage Aries to pause before reacting and to finish what they begin.
Aries in Vedic astrology
In Vedic astrology Mesha is ruled by Mangal and is the sign where the Sun is considered exalted. The Sun’s entry into Mesha, Mesha Sankranti, marks the solar new year in several Indian calendars, including Tamil Puthandu.
Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are traditionally linked with energy, enthusiasm and self-expression. Cardinal signs begin each season and are associated with initiative.
These are traditional associations shared by everyone born under the sign — not a personal reading. Your full chart, including your Moon sign and ascendant, says far more. Disclaimer.
