Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data AstroGuruPlus handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled on astroguruplus.com (the “website”) and in the AstroGuruPlus mobile apps once they are released. In this policy, “AstroGuruPlus”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of the website.
The contact responsible for privacy enquiries is Tarot Karthika, 1-80-4, Anna Nagar 5th Street, Omalur, Salem District, Salem – 636455, Tamil Nadu, India. Email [email protected], phone +91 93819 33673.
The full legal name and registration details of the business that operates AstroGuruPlus are being confirmed and will be added here before this policy takes effect.
2. Summary
- The website currently has no user accounts, no online payments, no contact forms that send data to us and no analytics or advertising trackers.
- The numerology calculator runs entirely in your browser. The date you enter is not sent to us or stored.
- If you email or phone us, we receive the information you choose to share and use it to reply to you.
- Like all websites, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages securely.
- We do not sell personal data.
- Before we launch accounts, personalised readings, payments or mobile apps, we will update this policy to describe exactly what those features collect.
3. Personal data we collect and why
3.1 When you browse the website
Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and delivered through Amazon CloudFront. To deliver pages and protect the service from abuse, the hosting infrastructure processes technical data with each request: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type (user agent), and the referring page. If we enable server access logs, these records are kept only for security, troubleshooting and capacity planning, and for a limited retention period that will be stated here before logging is enabled.
3.2 When you contact us
If you email or call us, we receive your name, email address or phone number, and anything you include in your message. We use this information only to respond, provide any service you ask about, keep a record of our correspondence and handle complaints. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), so emails you send us are processed on Google’s systems.
Please do not send us sensitive information such as health details, financial account numbers, passwords or government identity numbers.
3.3 Birth details
Astrological services such as birth charts, Kundli matching and transit reports require your date, time and place of birth. The website does not currently collect birth details. If you choose to share them with us when arranging a consultation, we use them only to prepare that consultation. When online personalised services launch, we will explain at the point of collection how birth details are used, where they are stored and how long they are kept, and we will ask for your consent where required.
If you provide birth details of another person (for example for Kundli matching), you must have their permission to do so.
3.4 Information stored in your browser
We store a small number of preferences in your browser’s local storage — for example your light or dark theme choice and your privacy choices. These never leave your device. See our Cookie Policy.
3.5 Data we do not collect
The website does not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, fingerprinting or third-party analytics, and it does not request access to your device’s location.
4. Mobile apps and future services
AstroGuruPlus mobile apps for Android and iOS are planned but not yet released. Depending on the features offered, the apps may process:
- Account information — such as name, email address or phone number, to create and secure your account.
- Birth details — date, time and place of birth, to calculate charts and personalised content.
- Purchase information — records of subscriptions or purchases. Payments made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are processed by those companies; we receive confirmation of the purchase but not your full card details.
- App diagnostics — such as crash reports, to fix problems.
- Notification tokens — if you choose to receive notifications.
Before any app is released, this policy will be updated to list precisely what the app collects, the service providers and software development kits (SDKs) it uses, and how long data is kept. The disclosures in the Google Play “Data safety” section and Apple “App Privacy” labels will match this policy.
5. Consent and legal grounds
Where Indian law applies, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules as they come into force, we process personal data on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by law — for example when you voluntarily share information with us so that we can respond to you, or where processing is needed to comply with a legal obligation.
Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it, and we may be unable to provide a service that depends on the data.
If you are located outside India, the data protection laws of your country (for example the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation) may also give you rights. We will respond to requests in line with the law that applies to you.
7. International data transfers
Our hosting and email providers operate infrastructure in several countries. Amazon CloudFront serves pages from data centres close to visitors around the world, and email may be processed outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we rely on the transfer rules under applicable Indian law and on our providers’ contractual and security commitments. We do not claim that your data is stored only in India.
8. How long we keep data
- Correspondence — kept for as long as needed to respond to you and handle any follow-up or complaint, and then deleted. A specific retention period will be set before this policy takes effect.
- Hosting logs — if enabled, kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- Browser preferences — kept on your device until you clear them (see the Cookie Policy).
- Records required by law — such as invoices or tax records for any paid service, kept for the period required by law.
When personal data is no longer needed for its purpose and we are not required to keep it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it;
- Erase your personal data, unless we must keep it to comply with the law (see our account and data deletion page);
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, where Indian law provides for it;
- Raise a grievance with us about how your data is handled.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will only ask for the information needed to do so.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data. The website is served only over HTTPS, the storage that holds our website files is private and accessible only through our content delivery network, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach that affects you, we will take steps to contain it, assess it, and notify you and the relevant authorities where required by law.
11. Children
AstroGuruPlus is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Under Indian law a “child” is a person under 18, and processing a child’s data requires verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Marketing communications
We do not currently send marketing emails or messages. If we do so in future, we will ask for your permission where required, and every message will include a simple way to opt out.
13. Questions, grievances and complaints
If you have a question or concern about your personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it.

14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our services or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. If changes significantly affect how we use your personal data, we will tell you clearly — for example on the website or in the app — before the changes take effect.
